I have lived in the Falls since 1968. My great-great grandfather was one of the village founders. I have served the community in multiple ways: Firefighter, various boards and commissions and for many years was president of the Falls Cable Access Corp. Currently I own, and am active in, a restaurant equipment manufacturing company.
I recently received a renewal notice for my membership in the Menomonee Falls Historical Society. The group is dedicated "to preserve, advance and disseminate knowledge of the history of the Village of Menomonee Falls..."
Their renewal letter noted that they take a strong interest in preserving the history of Menomonee Falls... allowing future generations to experience life as it was.
Among their projects are six yearly events on the grounds at the corner of Pilgrim Road and County Line Road Q. Among them is the Flea market/Old Village days on June 4th and 5th where you may bargain for that priceless antique or missing item in your collection.
Their annual meeting is coming up on February 1st at the Old Falls Village Publick House on society grounds. Perhaps you might be interested in becoming a member. I'm sending in my renewal today.
