I'm the owner and captain of THE SHOW which broadcasts on Falls Cable Access CH14 and fallscableaccess.com. I'd like to offer my unique view of the Falls as a resident and, of course, as a captain in these wind-tossed times.
Land Ho!
If you've been following the captain's blog, you know that we are tracking down one of our crew, Olde Zeke, who got himself hauled off to South America in a freight container of mannequins.
We recently made landfall in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It will do us good to take in new scenery, fresh food and better smells. The sights and sounds of Carnival are invigorating. Earl was entranced and swept away in the Sambadrome. We were finally able to apprehend him when he became entangled in a discarded bikini. After some apologies and deep breathing we resumed our mission.
Eventually, we found Zeke having dinner at an outdoor cantina. He's always reminiscing and has an abundance of tales to tell. Some may be true, we have no way of knowing. Zeke's memory predates Atlantis. His audience was rapt, fascinated and catatonic with interest. We loathed to disillusion and disappoint Olde Zeke, so we led him and the mannequin back to the ship. Apparently, they're quite fond of each other and will be as long as Zeke takes her calm, inviting silence to be adulation. Or, until we find his glasses.
The sea faring life is a grand adventure. How fortunate to have a ship we call The Show. It's a fine way to see the sea, as most of the crew aren't very good swimmers.
Be light, dance to life's rhythm, but watch your step.
