Mary left this life the same way she lived it, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was never at a loss for opinions which she would gladly share, but she always gave words of encouragement when they were needed most. While always the lady, in times of trouble, having her on your side was like having a lion walking in front of you.
Mary loved to frequently entertain friends, family, and neighbors. Her circle of friends was large and she was always making it bigger. Her newest friends were the caregivers at the Lutheran Home who made her final years comfortable.
Mary loved cards and was a self aware bridge wiz. She gave blood on a consistent basis, was a regular poll worker, and gave of her time to causes too numerous to mention here.
She was frugal, a regular on the rummage circuit, but generous to a fault when it came to her grandkids and causes she believed in.
Mary was able to see two goals fulfilled: Having a granddaughter to dote upon and attending a grandson’s wedding. She went to one wedding in July. She will get to see the rest from a better view.
