I'm the owner and captain of THE SHOW which broadcasts on Falls Cable Access CH14 and fallscableaccess.com. I'd like to offer my unique view of the Falls as a resident and, of course, as a captain in these wind-tossed times.
Well, here we are in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Carnival was exhausting, but we managed to retrieve Olde Zeke and his befriended mannequin. Zeke has taken to calling her Mary Jane, which I suspect has to do with Zeke not having his glasses on when he found the Made In Japan stamp somewhere on her person, as it were.
As it turns out, she's a real asset to the crew. Zeke always has an audience for his long-winded meanderings which are far beyond the tolerance of real people. Earl has found a dance partner and...she floats. I was concerned this type of objectification might be misogynistic, but then again, she floats.
We didn't expect to be here or to have things as they are, but were it not so there wouldn't be much to talk about. There certainly wouldn't be a show of any kind, which would be a shame. So, we carry on making life better where we are able. The wind and the waves will both thwart us and be our guide. Wonder will hold us to the wheel.
There's a light rain outside and I put the kettle on for some tea. For now the ship is quiet and comfortable save for the murmur of Zeke regaling Mary Jane with tall tales that are far too real - to Zeke. I could've sworn I heard a giggle. Must be the kettle.
Smooth sailing to ya'.
