I have lived in the Falls since 1968. My great-great grandfather was one of the village founders. I have served the community in multiple ways: Firefighter, various boards and commissions and for many years was president of the Falls Cable Access Corp. Currently I own, and am active in, a restaurant equipment manufacturing company.

The column was a regular feature in the Green Sheet, and has long since disappeared. It presented the meaning and origin of various words in common and not-so-common usage.
Calling all runners, hikers, families, anyone who loves getting outside to enjoy nature.

I was on the phone talking with my son in Albuquerque when it happened.
The power flickered a bit, dimmed, came up bright and then there was total darkness. My wireless phone connection was instantly lost, and I began searching for a flashlight.
