Paul's Falls

I have lived in the Falls since 1968. My great-great grandfather was one of the village founders. I have served the community in multiple ways: Firefighter, various boards and commissions and for many years was president of the Falls Cable Access Corp. Currently I own, and am active in, a restaurant equipment manufacturing company.

One Dollar Coins

Last night on the Nightly News I watched a story about how billions of one dollar coins have been minted and waiting to be put into circulation.  The problem is that the general public doesn't care to use them because they are heavy and don't fit into a billfold.

Day by day the government cranks them out only to be shipped into warehouses for storage.  New  warehouses are very expensive and must be maintained.  The coins cost the government about 33 cents each to manufacture.

My One Dollar Coins

The continuing saga...

I passed two of my 13 one dollar coins today.
One of them went for partial payment for lunch at a local McDonald,s.  It was easier than I thought, but  the cashier had do check with the manager for approval.
