Are you better off now than your were 3 years ago? 10 Reasons to Vote on April 6th!

The Vanguard is a blog hosted by the Journal Sentinel and normally is written by Jefferson Davis.

Jefferson invites guest bloggers to the Vanguard.

I do not want my name released on this blog as I have seen what happens to people who question or challenge the status quo in Menomonee Falls.

Jefferson has given me permission to write this blog and I appreciate that very much.

Attached is an email that I received from the Davis for Trustee Campaign about the April 6th Election for Village Trustee.

This email encourages people to vote!

In the words of Ronald Reagan when he ran for President in 1980 against Jimmy Carter, the simple question of Menomonee Falls voters is this,

"Are you better off now than you were 3 years ago?"

Clearly we are not.

I will be voting for the guy that will cut taxes, clean up corruption, freeze spending and give us our government back.

We deserve no less.

Are you better off now than you were 3 years ago?  10 Reasons to Vote on April 6th!

Menomonee Falls - April 6th is a very important date for Menomonee Falls voters.  Here are 10 reasons to vote that will make us all better off than we have been over the last 3 years.

As a candidate for Village Trustee Seat 4, Jefferson Davis will vote to do the following to cut taxes, clean up corruption and give the people their government back:

1. Will explore ways to privatize more village services to get out from under the oppressive $85,000 annual employee costs for basic services.

2. Will work with the Menomonee s Falls Police Chief to clean up corruption by Village Board Members that has compromised many businessmen and citizens.  No more "pay for play", "cash for votes", "referrals for votes", "free rent", "real estate deals", "extortion" or "bribes".

3. Will look at cost effective alternatives to the excessive water and sewer bills that has paralyzed users for many years saving every homeowner approximately $368 a year.

4. Will vote to cut the property tax levy by 5% phased in over 3 years that will save every homeowner approximately $75 a year.

5. Will vote to eliminate the $100 per homeowner garbage tax immediately.

6. Will vote for a $200 per homeowner property tax credit from Waste Management for methane gas leasing rights to replace the lost revenue once the landfill closes.

7.  Will vote to end the "double dipping", "free health care" and "unused sick leave lump sum cash payouts" to retirees that cost taxpayers $630,000 in 2009 alone.

8. Will vote to implement Health Savings Accounts (HSA's) for Village Health Care Plan to save taxpayers anywhere between $500,000 - $750,000 a year.

9. Will vote to turn over the Main Street Redevelopment to the private sector to get a return on the taxpayers' $1.6 million investment since 2003.

10. No more give aways to the City of Milwaukee like Ambrosia Chocolate, MMSD and Milwaukee Water Works costing taxpayers millions and losing control of our own destiny.

Polls are open from 7:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Poll locations can be found by clicking on this link (http://menomonee-falls.org/index.aspx?NID=520).
