Getting "Revved-Up" for Ride for Rover II!
HAWS is proud to present the second annual Ride for Rover motorcycle run, next Saturday, August 27. Riders and non-riders alike are welcome to join in this family-friendly, all-ages event in support of area homeless animals.
Beginning at 10 a.m. at Hal’s Harley-Davidson, New Berlin, Ride for Rover participants will rumble throughout Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties with a mid-ride stop at Ride co-beneficiary Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control (MADACC). The ride culminates with a picnic at HAWS from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., featuring great food and drink, raffle prizes, adoptable pet meet’n’greets and music by Cold Brew.
Notes HAWS Executive Director Lynn Olenik, “Ride for Rover is open not just to motorcycle riders but to anyone who would like to support HAWS and co-host Friends of M.A.D.A.C.C.” Olenik continues, “The Ride and picnic will be a great time, and we love to partner with fellow members of the animal welfare community – especially to celebrate companion animals and all they mean to us!”
Complete Ride information and registration are available at www.rideforrover.com and at www.hawspets.org. The participant fees of $20/driver and $10/each additional rider include the official Ride for Rover II t-shirt.
