April Novak of Menomonee Falls was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society for two-year colleges, at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha in March.

Vincent Jacobson of Menomonee Falls made the fall semester dean's list at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Wauwatosa.

• Air Force Airman Michael J. Sherman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He earned distinction as an honor graduate. Sherman, a 2004 graduate of Hamilton High School in Sussex, is the son of James Sherman of Menomonee Falls and the grandson of Mary Alioto of Waukesha. He earned an associate degree in 2007 from Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee.
