Cornelius J. Martin
Cornelius J. "Cornie" Martin of Menomonee Falls died Feb. 21, 2009, at age 89.
He was a life-long member of St. Mary's. He served in the U.S. Army and was decorated for his efforts in World War II. He was a master plumber for almost 40 years, enjoyed playing cards, singing in the choir, taking trips to Door County and German music.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (nee Neureuther); children, Kathy (Don) Moody, Eugene (Beckie), Dan (Tina), Marianne Trapp and Michael (Cheryl) Martin; sister, Helen Vogl; step-children, Rita, James, Mary, Judy and Sue; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine; brothers, Al, Ray, Hilary and Savy; and sisters, Theresa, Lucille, Agnes and Alice; and wife, Beatrice (nee Collins).
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, W16297 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls. Burial was at St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's All Generation Fund, or Masses.
Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
