James B. Ische
James B. Ische of Eau Claire, formerly of Menomonee Falls, died March 17, 2009, at age 67, after a battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 20, 1941, to Alice (nee Burg) and Burtel Ische of Menomonee Falls. He was raised in Menomonee Falls and moved to Eau Claire in 1968. In 1976, he founded Oak Ridge Chemical Corp.
He was cared for by his wife, Suzy, and his family after his cancer diagnosis. He loved traveling, fishing, the outdoors and life. He also was a member of the "River Rats Inc." for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; sons, Mike and Maxine (nee Dekan) Ische and Tim and Tammy (nee Severson) Ische; grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Jenna and Connor Ische; mother, Alice; brother, Thomas; sisters, Ellen Mier, Alice Bryant and Janice Hilgendorf; sister-in-law, Bobi Pedretty; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burtel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 21 at Sacred Heart Hospital Chapel, Eau Claire.
The family thanks friends, neighbors and the physicians and nursing staff of The Cancer Center and Sacred Heart Hospital for their tender care.
