Elmer J. Marks
Elmer J. Marks, formerly of Menomonee Falls, died July 7, 2009, at age 80.
Elmer was the owner of the Nightingale Ballroom for 32 years and the founder along with Jim Ebner of the Marksmen Orchestra.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen "Tootie"; children, Karen Becker (nee Marks) and Rick (Barb) Marks; grandchildren, Brett, Bryan, Derek, Lucas and Blake; brothers, Earl (Florence), Vernon (Barbara) and Ronald (Pat) Marks; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Agnes Marks; in-laws, Ray and Betty Groth; and sister, Patsy (Fritz) Mueller.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 11 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Germantown.
Memorials are suggested to St. Boniface Catholic Church or the Moose Lodge 1238 Germantown.
The family thanks Virginia Highlands Memory Lane and Community Memorial Hospital for all the care they gave to Elmer.
Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
