Allison Becker and Dan Morgan of Lafayette, Ind., are planning a Sept. 14, 2013 wedding at Blessed Sacrament Church in Madison.
The parents of the future bride are Lori and Scott Becker of Menomonee Falls and the future groom's parents are Jane and Jim Morgan of Madison.
The 3 p.m. ceremony will be followed by a reception at Union South in Madison.
The maid of honor will be Kelly Becker, sister of the future bride, of Menomonee Falls. The bridesmaids are: Tracey Becker, sister of the bride from Menomonee Falls, Jenna Morgan, sister of the groom from Menomonee Falls and Steph Lauer, friend of the bride from Menomonee Falls.
The best man will be Joe Bridwell, friend of the future groom from Madison and the groomsmen will be: Tim Morgan, brother of the groom from Madison, Kevin Hart, friend of the groom from Racine and John Springmann, friend of the groom from Racine.
The future bride graduated from Menomonee Falls High School and received her bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her master's degree in Recreation Administration at Illinois State University.
She works as an Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at Purdue University, Division of Recreation Sports in West Lafayette, Ind., and coaches at CrossFit in West Lafayette.
The future groom graduated from Madison West High School and received his bachelor's in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign.
He is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois and is collaborating with engineers at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop spacecraft swarms and spends his summers working at JPL.
They are planning a honeymoon at Lake Geneva. They met during their sophomore year of college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As they were walking down Bascom Hill, where he had first asked her out almost six years earlier, Dan asked Allison to marry him and she said yes.
