1Someone tried to enter a building in the W140 N5700 block of Lilly Road between Sept. 30 and Oct. 12. The person tried to gain entry through a crank-out window on the north side of the building but did not succeed.
2Copper scrap metal was taken from the east dock at Harley-Davidson, W156 N9000 Pilgrim Road, every Saturday between 9:10 and 9:30 a.m. from Sept. 14 through Oct. 5. An employee of a pressure-washing company is suspected.
3Three males in a Ford Econoline van stole between 50 and 60 pounds of aluminum from Silgan Containers, N90 W14600 Commerce Drive, about 11:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Police identified the suspects and were attempting to locate them at the time of the report.
4A Garmin GPS unit, $200 and a credit card were stolen from two unlocked vehicles in a driveway in the W184 N8200 block of Tours Drive between 1 and 4 a.m. Oct. 11. The credit card was used to purchase $80 worth of gas at a Mobil station in Richfield. The suspect vehicle is a mid-2000 white minivan with black trim along the entire bottom and rims that are silver with a five-point star pattern. Four other unlocked vehicles in the same subdivision also were ransacked, but nothing was reported missing from them.
5An iPad 2 was stolen from a shopping cart at Pick 'n Save, N77 W14435 Appleton Ave., between 11:34 and 11:48 a.m. Oct. 14. The iPad had been left in the owner's shopping cart when she returned the cart to the store. She immediately returned to the store to retrieve it, but it was gone.
6Six car batteries, valued at $740, and four truck batteries, valued at $480, were stolen out of vehicles behind Comet, N56 W12679 Silver Spring Road, between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 14 and 7 a.m. Oct. 15.
7A student was arrested for possession of marijuana after canine officer Tyson performed a walk-through in the parking lot at Menomonee Falls High School, W142 N8101 Merrimac Drive, and found a plastic bag containing THC in a parked car at 12:55 p.m. Oct. 10.
8An officer was sent to Community Memorial Hospital, W180 N8085 Town Hall Road, after receiving a report that marijuana was found on a patient at 4:43 a.m. Oct. 12. The officer spoke to an administrative nurse in an attempt to find the patient who had brought the marijuana in, but was told hospital policy precludes release of patient information. The marijuana was taken to the Police Department to be destroyed.
9A man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the N63 W15700 block of Claremore Circle at 10 p.m. Oct. 14.
10A man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after an employee reported an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru at McDonald's, N83 W15515 Appleton Ave., at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 11. In addition, the driver was taken into custody on a Washington County Sheriff's Department warrant. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
11A man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for a traffic violation on Highway 41 and Main Street at 9:25 a.m. Oct. 13. The driver admitted drinking alcohol at a wedding reception in Hartford between 3 and 10 p.m. the previous night. His BAC was 0.12.
12Officers responded to a residence in the N88 W16700 block of Main Street after receiving a report that a woman was screaming for help through an open window about 2 a.m. Oct. 9. There was no answer at the residence when police arrived. Eventually, a 20-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man exited the home and denied any kind of altercation, and told the officers they had engaged in a "sex game." They smelled of alcohol and were given breath tests, which led to their arrest for underage drinking.
13A mailman was bitten on the arm by a large, brown Great Dane while delivering mail to a home in the N85 W15100 block of MacArthur Drive at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 11. The victim, a 53-year-old man, did not press charges against the dog's owner but wanted the incident documented.
14Two 24-year-old Milwaukee men were arrested on Greenfield and Glendale police department warrants for traffic offenses after an employee reported two people acting suspiciously at Walmart Neighborhood Market, N88 W15559 Main St., at 7 p.m. Oct. 12.
