Police report: Dec. 16

1An employee at Riverview Assisted Living, W176 N9430 River Crest Drive, reported three blank checks were stolen from an elderly resident and two of the checks were forged and cashed, leaving the victim's checking account with a negative balance at 5 p.m. Dec. 3. An investigation revealed two of the stolen checks were written out to a female caregiver at the assisted living center in the amounts of $550 and $1,200, and police were following up with the possible suspect at the time of the report.

2A 30-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting energy drinks and a lighter at Speedway, N87 W17245 Main St., at about 12:30 p.m. Dec. 4.

3A female subject was arrested for shoplifting after a patrol officer found a new pair of pants stuffed under the left rear wheel of her vehicle in the parking lot at JC Penney, N96 W18515 County Line Road, at about 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7. The suspect admitted stealing the $48 pants and concealing them under the wheel of the vehicle after seeing a police car in the parking lot.

4A 20-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $509 of merchandise and a 19-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $598 of merchandise after they were seen concealing items in their purses and bags at Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., at about 1:20 p.m. Dec. 10. The 19-year-old woman was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a marijuana grinder in her purse.


5A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after police found a firearm under his seat during a traffic stop in the W124 N8100 block of Highway 145 at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 7.

6Officers responding to a request to assist in removing an intoxicated man from the bar at Classic Lanes, N85 W15900 Appleton Ave., at about 10 p.m. Dec. 10 arrested the 34-year-old man for bail jumping after it was discovered he held a valid warrant for third offense drunken driving and was to maintain absolute sobriety. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.22.

· Menomonee Falls police responded to one domestic violence call between Dec. 3 and Dec. 10.
