Theft

1An unknown person(s) stole a .40-caliber Baby Desert Eagle handgun, valued at $580, and two loaded magazines from under the driver's seat of an unlocked vehicle in the 14900 block of Jefferson Avenue sometime between noon April 30 and 10 p.m. May 5. The victim stated he had driven his vehicle to Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Walmart in Germantown and Cabela's in Richfield during the timeframe of the theft, but could not rule out that the gun and ammunition were stolen while his vehicle was parked in his driveway.

2A resident reported his iPhone was stolen after he left it unattended on a picnic table while playing basketball at Oakwood Park, W143 N6889 Dennis Droese Drive, between 6:45 and 7:50 p.m. May 10.

3Two unknown persons stole an estimated 700 pounds of scrap metal, valued at $100, out of two dumpsters after they forcibly entered a gated area at Wrico Stamping Co., N50 W13471 Overview Drive, at about 7:25 p.m. May 10. The suspects, described only as two black males, fled in a newer, rented, white U-Haul van. The incident was captured on video surveillance and police are following up.

4An unknown male left without paying for $24 worth of gas and a pack of cigarettes at Petro Mart, N89 W16812 Appleton Ave., at about 2 p.m. May 14. The suspect told the owner he forgot his wallet and promised to come back and pay but never returned.

5An unknown person(s) stole an electric guitar at Wondersounds Instruments & Academy of Music, N89 W16744 Appleton Ave., sometime between midnight April 14 and 3 p.m. May 14.

6A resident in the 20600 block of Hillview Drive was cited for harboring a vicious animal after his dog attacked and bit another dog at about 6:30 a.m. May 10.
