Menomonee Falls Police Report: July 31, 2014

Theft

1An employee at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, reported a man entered the store, selected a bedding set off the shelf in the household goods department, and then took it to the customer service counter where he received a store credit for the merchandise at about 2:35 p.m. Friday, July 18. The suspect was identified through his Wisconsin driver's license, which he gave to the employee in order to receive the store credit, and police were attempting to locate him at the time of the report.

2Two unknown males shoplifted two cell phones at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, by cutting them off a security hook, opening the packaging, and then concealing the phones in their pockets at about 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15.

3Two unknown men driving a maroon, four-door vehicle stole about 200 pounds of scrap metal worth about $50 from two dumpsters inside fenced-in, secured area at Wrico Stamping co., N50 W13471 Overview Drive, at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday, July 20. The suspects gained access by climbing under a barbed-wire fence. Police have video surveillance footage of the incident and are attempting to identify the men, who appeared to be the same suspects in a previous scrap metal theft on June 8.

4A 27-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, both of Milwaukee, were arrested and cited for shoplifting after they were seen concealing items in their purse and inside other items in their shopping cart at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, at about 2:15 p.m. Monday, July 21.

5An unknown person(s) stole a 2014 Haulmark trailer parked behind Wil Kil, W140 N5910 Lilly Road, sometime between 2:30 p.m. July 23 and 11:30 a.m. July 24. The trailer had a ball lock, as well as a lock on the safety chains, and the owner of the trailer believed it had to be taken away on a flatbed as no locks or chains were left behind at the site.

Drug possession

6A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and carrying a concealed weapon after police found a loaded handgun inside his vehicle during a high-risk traffic stop on Main Street and Fountain Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17.

7An officer investigating a suspicious occupied vehicle parked along the southeast side of Thomas Jefferson Middle School, W165 N8301 Lavergne Ave., arrested an 18-year-old man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday, July 19.

8Police responding to a report of a suspicious, occupied vehicle parked in the 16500 block of Ann Avenue arrested a 20-year-old Menomonee Falls man for possession of drug paraphernalia and took him into custody for having an outstanding warrant through the South Milwaukee Police Department at about 10:10 p.m. Sunday, July 20.

9An officer investigating a suspicious vehicle parked near the gate for the village-owned gun range in the 17600 block of Mill Road arrested a 19-year-old man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after finding two men inside the smoke-filled vehicle at about 2:10 a.m. Monday, July 21.

Drunken driving

10A 52-year-old Hartland man was arrested for felony drunken driving (fourth offense) after he was pulled over for speeding in the 12400 block of Main Street at about 8:45 p.m. Friday, July 18. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

11A 24-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was pulled over for having defective plate lamps and illegal stickers on her windows on Kenwood Boulevard and Harrison Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday, July 24. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.10.

Vandalism

12An unknown person(s) broke into Thomas Jefferson Middle School, W165 N8301 Lavergne Ave., by prying open a second story window and broke a four-foot overhead light bulb sometime between 4 p.m. July 17 and 10:45 a.m. July 18. The unknown suspect(s) moved items around inside the school but did not take anything. Damage to the window and light was estimated at $427.

13An unknown person(s) damaged a sink in the men's restroom at Village Park, N87 W17001 Garfield Drive, sometime between 6 a.m. and 11:55 p.m. Friday, July 18.

14An unknown person(s) damaged the left side sink in the women's bathroom at Rotary Park, N85 W14201 Fond du Lac Ave., by pulling it off the wall sometime between 7 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Monday, July 21. A damage estimate was unavailable.

15An unknown person(s) stole a 5-foot by 9-foot home-made trailer out of a back yard in the 9300 block of Maple Road sometime between 8 a.m. July 22 and 2:30 p.m. July 23.

Other

16A 23-year-old Colgate man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after police found a throwing knife inside his vehicle while it was being loaded onto a flatbed two truck at Radisson Hotel, N88 W14750 Main St., at about 11:10 a.m. Friday, July 18. Police also took the suspect into custody after discovering he was wanted by the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

17Officers responding to a report of a fight at Marcus Cinema, W180 N9393 Premier Lane, arrested five people for disorderly conduct/fighting at about 12:05 a.m. Saturday, July 19. The suspects also damaged a table inside the theater during the incident.

18A 28-year-old man was arrested for bail jumping after he got into a verbal altercation with another man at AJ O'Brady's, N88 W16495 Main St., at about 10:25 p.m. Saturday, July 19. The suspect was arrested after police discovered he had an open domestic violence case through the Menomonee Falls Police Department, and the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office had imposed a bail restriction of absolute sobriety. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.28, and he was transported to jail.

19Police responding to a report of a physical fight between several adults in the 15200 block of Cleveland Avenue cited a man and a woman for disorderly conduct at about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. Police discovered the fight started over an ice cream cone that a child had dropped in the street.

Menomonee Falls police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted the fire department with two rescue calls between July 17 and July 24.
