The village is considering building a new well near Silver Spring Drive and One Mile Road.
On Monday, the Village Board approved a $180,000 engineering contract for the design of a well pumping station for a 10th well.
There are two wells in that area, but trustee James Jeskewitz said one has radium. If the one with radium failed, the village could not switch to the other well.
