Falls police report relatively quiet morning; public schools open
Although a minor accident caused the Highway 41 ramp at Main Street to close temporarily this morning, police Lt. Kevin Von Bank said, "Things are going very well."
Roads are snow-covered, he said, but plows got an early start.
Other than a couple of minor accidents, no other incidents, like power outages, had been reported. At about 8:30 a.m., all squads were available to respond to an incident.
"It may be slow going," Von Bank said. "People seem to be adjusting."
Public schools are open, but several private schools are closed.
