High speed rail would create jobs in Wisconsin
Public Forum:
Transportation has been a huge topic in these recent weeks all across our state. For the past two years I've been very involved in the issue of transportation throughout my own research on public transportation in Milwaukee and throughout the nation at UWM and have continued that work in Stevens Point, where I have recently transferred to school. I have studied how high speed rail could potentially bring 5-10,000 jobs to the state of Wisconsin and up to 57,000 jobs in the Midwest altogether.
We all are hurting together in this struggling economy. Some have lost their jobs; some have had their hours and pay cut; some have lost benefits; some, such as myself, are worried about the prospects of finding a good job once I leave school.
It is time that we elect officials who are going to support the mission of creating more jobs for the state of Wisconsin. That is why I've taken up a run for the Wisconsin State Assembly in District 24. There is a problem in the state of Wisconsin when people, such as my opponent are not open to the discussions taking place that could bring thousands of jobs into the state.
It is time that Wisconsin sees a new wave of people come into office. People willing to listen, people willing to talk and work among one another. All we need is the right people. It's time we give our incumbents the boot.
We have far too much to lose and even more to gain.

state of Wisconsin."
Is that 5 total jobs, or 5,000 total jobs?
If you are claiming that it will bring 5,000-10,000 jobs to the state, can you
summarize how it will accomplish this goal? Thank you.
