Oh, what a night
Ladies Night Out is a great concept. The Oconomowoc Woman's Club holds one each year to benefit the charity begun by the late Melodie Wilson of After Breast Cancer Diagnosis.
Pat Soefker and Diane Schowalter chaired this year's fundraiser, which was held at the Country Springs Hotel. The event has proved so popular that this year 45 vendors filled two rooms. Some of their catchy names were Scentsy, Wickless Candles, Hot off the Loom, It's a Stitch, Rudabaga Brown, Toothsome Rue and Wine Maniacs.
Purses, jewelry, cosmetics, apparel and much more were offered for sale. A buffet of desserts and other snacks also was part of the reasonably priced admission.
A few of the many women seen shopping for charity were Robin Markelz and Judy Ladwig of Waukesha; Sue Marks, Charlie Solomon, Jeanne Leitl and Joni Burski of Oconomowoc; Coral Wilkens of Chenequa; Barb Thorn of Menomonee Falls; and Jennifer Chapel of Hartland.
