1An unknown man shoplifted a pack of burgers at Pick 'n Save, N77 W14435 Appleton Ave., and then immediately went to the customer service counter with a fictitious complaint, stating he had purchased an additional seven packs of burgers that were freezer-burned at about 11:20 a.m. April 18. The suspect said he didn't have a receipt, and also claimed that he served the bad burgers at a church function. Customer service refunded the suspect for not only the stolen burgers, but also the additional seven packs he claimed to have purchased, resulting in a total loss of $86. The same suspect has pulled similar scams at four other Pick 'n Save stores, and police are reviewing video surveillance of the incident.
2An employee reported an unknown person stole her wallet while she was working at Bartz's, N96 W18743 County Line Road, and used her debit card to make $93 worth of fraudulent charges at two locations in Milwaukee sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. May 14.
3An unknown person(s) stole an unlocked tailgate off a vehicle parked at PSC Industrial Outsourcing LP, W140 N5959 Lilly Road, sometime between 5 p.m. May 13 and 7:30 a.m. May 16. The vehicle, owned by Phillips Service Corporation, was parked at the south end of the lot under an overhead light.
4An unknown male shoplifted three cartons of Newport cigarettes at Badger Tobacco Outlet LLC, N81 W15092 Appleton Ave., at about 5:50 p.m. May 16.
5A caller reported someone stole three Reizer brand racing tires off his vehicle while it was parked in the north parking lot at Menomonee Falls High School, W142 N8101 Merrimac Drive, at 9:45 p.m. May 15.
6An unknown female shoplifted 18 cans of Gerber Good Start baby formula, valued at $170, by concealing them in an oversized purse at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18351 County Line Road, at about noon May 16. The suspect, described only as a white female, left the lot in an orange Saturn Vue with an unknown male. Police have the license plate number of the suspect's vehicle and are following up.
7Two unknown males shoplifted a Samsung Galaxy Note II smart phone at the AT&T store, N96 W18743 County Line Road, at about 1:55 p.m. May 17. According to the police report, one of the suspects removed the phone and put it into his pocket while the second suspect distracted the employees.
8A woman called police to report her Samsung tablet computer, Samsung smartphone and a spiral notebook were stolen at Aurora Advanced Healthcare, N84 W16889 Menomonee Ave., sometime between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. May 15. The victim later found her smartphone and spiral notebook, but the computer is still missing.
9An unknown female shoplifted 12 cans of Gerber Good Start baby formula at 1:55 p.m. May 17, and then shoplifted eight cans of Gerber baby formula at 5:15 p.m. May 18 at Pick 'n Save, N77 W14435 Appleton Ave. The suspect, described only as a white female, concealed the cans in large, recyclable bags she brought into the store. The suspect is believed to have shoplifted baby formula from the Pick 'n Save north location on May 16, and police are investigating.
10An officer investigating a suspicious, occupied vehicle in the parking lot at the Metropol Apartment complex, N88 W14822 Main St., arrested a 20-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man for possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 2:35 a.m. May 17. The man was also arrested for resisting/obstructing an officer and both suspects were transported to the Waukesha County Jail facility.
11A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of narcotics after police discovered he had six Oxycodone pills in his possession (without a prescription) in the W148 N8400 block of Albert Place at about 5:30 p.m. May 19.
12An employee at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, was transported to Froedtert Hospital after the employee's foot was crushed by a forklift on the rear receiving dock at about 4:30 a.m. May 17.
13A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was denied entry to the Menomonee Falls YMCA, N84 W17501 Menomonee Ave., and then became loud and aggressive with staff, started pounding on exterior windows, honking his car horn, verbally assaulted other patrons and used a racial slur in talking to the building manager. He became belligerent with police in the incident, which took place at about 8:45 p.m. May 16. The man was denied entry to the YMCA due to past problems with fighting and theft at another YMCA location.
· Menomonee Falls police responded to one domestic violence call between May 14 and May 20.
