Blood Drive scheduled in Menomonee Falls
Menomonee Falls - An American Red Cross Blood Drive is slated for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24 in the Menomonee Falls High School cafeteria, W16750 Garfield Drive.

Germantown adds elementary kindergarten specialist
Germantown - Due to increased enrollment of incoming elementary school students, the Germantown School District has added a new position at Rockfield Elementary School.
Stephanie Pollpeter was hired as a full-time kindergarten specialist. The district still has approximately 22 positions to fill for the upcoming school year, Superintendent Sue Borden said.
Parking prohibited on Riversbend Lane
Germantown - The Germantown Village Board on Monday approved prohibiting parking on Riversbend Lane between County Line Road and Riversbend Bend Circle.
The decision was unanimous, with Trustee David Baum absent from the meeting.
Village Board approves revenue bond for Ellsworth
Germantown - The Germantown Village Board approved an Industrial Development Revenue Bond for Ellsworth Corp. in the amount of $7,000,000.
Ellsworth, a global corporation specializing in the distribution of specialty chemicals and equipment including adhesives and sealants, is looking to build numerous buildings on a 20-acre plot of land recently purchased from the village.
Ellsworth currently has its worldwide headquarters in the Germantown Business Park, N10825 Washington Drive.
Village selects R.A. Smith for Donges Bay Road project
Germantown - The Germantown Village Board selected R.A. Smith National as the firm to provide design engineering services on Donges Bay Road.
The village is planning a large rehabilitation project of the road. The contract is for $44,546.
Town Bank hires Falls market manager
Menomonee Falls - Kent Eliason has been named senior vice president and Menomonee Falls market manager.
Eliason has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services industries, including senior management positions with M&I Bank and Landmark Credit Union. Eliason has a particularly strong background in commercial lending and community banking.
Eliason's responsibilities include overall management of the Menomonee Falls office. He will spearhead business development efforts for commercial and private banking in the Menomonee Falls, Germantown and Sussex communities.
Town Bank plans on occupying a free-standing banking facility situated in The Woodlands Market retail center located at the northwest corner of Good Hope Road and Appleton Avenue. A grand opening is planned for late summer or early fall.
Health department offers free immunizations
West Bend - All recommended immunizations are available to children 18 years and younger who meet current CDC eligibility at no charge.
Parents will be asked about insurance status when making appointments, are required to accompany children younger than age 18 and must bring previous immunization records to appointments.

Students awarded hospital scholarships
Menomonee Falls - Area students from Brookfield, Brown Deer, Germantown, Hartford, Menomonee Falls, Slinger, Sussex and West Bend have been awarded scholarships from Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital to pursue careers in health care. More than 100 students applied for the hospital's Medical Staff Scholarships, Foundation Scholarships and Volunteers in Partnership Scholarships.
This year's recipients for Medical Staff Scholarships from Germantown High School, Menomonee Falls High School and Sussex Hamilton High School are: Kathryn Le Claire, Sussex Hamilton; April Okruszynski, Germantown; Elizabeth Schounard, Sussex Hamilton; and Katelyn Smaglick, Menomonee Falls.
This year's recipients for Community Memorial Foundation Scholarships from Germantown High School, Menomonee Falls High School and Sussex Hamilton High School are: Abby Angelroth, Sussex Hamilton; Sarah Geier, Sussex Hamilton; Erin McDonnell, Germantown; April Okruszynski, Germantown; Benjamin Pflefka, Menomonee Falls; Gabrielle Rodriguez, Menomonee Falls; Elizabeth Schounard, Sussex Hamilton; and Katelyn Smaglick, Menomonee Falls.

School District names building and grounds director
Menomonee Falls - Rick Fechter was recently named the building and grounds director in the Menomonee Falls School District, pending School Board approval on July 23.
Fechter has spent 25 years in custodial and facility work and has served as the district's building and grounds custodial supervisor in Menomonee Falls for one year.
Booth space available for Safety Fair
Menomonee Falls - Booths are now available for the 2012 Menomonee Falls Safety Fair, which is slated for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8.
The booth rental fee is $50 for commercial exhibitors. There will be no charge for nonprofit organizations. Lunch will be provided for all exhibitors.
