Police Report: Aug. 31

Editor's note: Police reports were gathered on Aug. 31 due to early deadlines for the Labor Day holiday.

THEFT

1Police are seeking a 35-year-old Milwaukee woman who shoplifted a cart full of merchandise at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, shortly before 2 p.m. Aug. 24. The woman loaded the merchandise into a white Cadillac Catera and fled the parking lot. The suspect was identified through a vehicle background check and video surveillance.

2A 43-year-old woman, a 33-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen attempting to conceal merchandise at Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., at 7 p.m. Aug. 25. The 33-year-old woman was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

3A man's wallet was stolen while it was sitting on a table near a pool during a house party in the N63W15900 block of Claremore Circle between 7:15 and 7:45 p.m. Aug. 25. The party attendees were questioned and no one observed the theft.

4The driver of a tan Chevy Blazer left without paying for $30 of gas at Good To Go Quick Mart, N88 W15167 Main St., at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 28.

DRUG POSSESSION

5Officers responding to a family dispute in the N48 W19000 block of Pleasant View Drive arrested a 24-year-old Menomonee Falls man for possession of marijuana at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 25. The suspect was also taken into custody for having an outstanding warrant through the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

VANDALISM

6An unknown suspect(s) spray-painted three large face portraits, several trees and the word "ski" underneath the Main Street Bridge on Main and Mill streets between 10 a.m. Aug. 25 and 12:15 p.m. Aug. 29. Also, the same suspect(s) stuck several USPS Priority Mail address labels on the west wall and wrote the words "ski" and "haske" on several labels.

7A citizen called police after he allegedly observed an unknown male spray-painting "cat eyes" on the cement under the Main Street bridge in the N88 W16475 block of Main Street at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 25. Officers responding to the area found five-foot-wide brown and silver "eyes" over the water drain under the bridge and some letters in red paint.

8The word "ski" was spray-painted on the closed overhead door of the concession stand and on front of a gate under the pavilion at Mill Pond Park, N88 W16500 Main St., between 10 a.m. Aug. 26 and 7:54 a.m. Aug. 27.

OTHER

9A female postal worker was bitten on the upper thigh by a dog while she was delivering mail in the N62 W14700 block of Mill Creek Court at 1:52 p.m. Aug. 21. Police are trying to contact the dog owner.

An employee at Herzing University, W140 N8917 Lilly Road, reported receiving harassing emails from a former student at 10:50 a.m. Aug. 27. The suspect, a 41-year-old Madison woman, has allegedly been sending the emails and calling the university since March 2011. Police are trying to contact the suspect for questioning.

10A 65-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she caused a disturbance in the N82 W13500 block of Fond du Lac Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. Aug. 28. The woman was allegedly swearing and yelling at her neighbor and some contractors working at her neighbor's house while a child was present.
