THEFT

1A 39-year-old female employee was arrested for embezzlement after she allegedly allowed multiple customers to leave without paying for their groceries at Woodman's, W142 N8145 Highway 145, at 5 p.m. Dec. 8. The suspect scanned items in the checkout and then voided the transactions, allowing customers to leave with free groceries on eight occasions between Oct. 6 and Dec. 8.

2A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting three electronic tablets, valued at $1,300, at Best Buy, N95 W16855 Richfield Way, on Dec. 5. Police traced his car to a residence in Milwaukee, where the suspect admitted stealing the items.

3An unknown man shoplifted seven cartons of cigarettes at Woodman's, W124 N8145 Highway 145, shortly after 5 a.m. Dec. 7. The suspect fled the parking lot in an unknown vehicle.

4Five unknown individuals left without paying for $37 of food at Applebee's, W180 N9469 Premier Lane, at 1:55 a.m. Dec. 8. The suspects fled from the area in a newer model, four-door Pontiac sedan.

OTHER

5An elderly man reported his 86-year-old wife was missing from their residence in the W172 N7600 block of Shady Lane at 4:30 a.m. Dec. 9. The woman, who has a history of Alzheimer's disease, left in the couple's car wearing a bathrobe and did not have any money or a cellphone. She was found later in the day by family members at a prior residence in Wauwatosa and was returned to her home.

6A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit after police found an empty Ruger .357 revolver in his waistband during a traffic stop on Highway 41 and Main Street at 12:10 a.m. Dec. 11. The suspect was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for speeding.
