BURGLARY

1Two locked construction trailers in an enclosed area were entered while parked at the site of the old Menomonee Falls Movie Theater, N88 W15377 Main St., between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 23 and 7 a.m. Dec. 26. The unknown suspect(s) entered the trailers by cutting padlocks off the rear trailer doors. It was unknown at the time of the report if any items were taken from the trailers.

THEFT

2A driver pumped $79 of gas into two vehicles and left without paying at Petro-Mart, 7310 Endicott Ave., at 6:27 p.m. Dec. 28.

3An unknown male wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt was observed stuffing merchandise under his shirt at Neu's, N95 W16915 Richfield Way, shortly before 10:45 a.m. Dec. 31. When approached by the store owner, the suspect dumped all the items from his clothing and fled from the store on foot.

4A trailer was stolen from the parking lot at O.H. Ewert, N92 W17524 Appleton Ave., between 3 p.m. Dec. 31 and 5 p.m. Jan. 1. Police are obtaining video surveillance from a nearby business.

5A 44-year-old Richfield woman reported her cell phone was stolen while she was in a dressing room at Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., between 1:30 and 2:15 p.m. Jan. 2. The woman told police her cell phone fell out of her pocket while she was in the dressing room and it was missing when she returned to retrieve it. The victim called her cell phone and a man answered, but he did not return the phone to the store.

6A handicapped placard was stolen from a vehicle parked at the YMCA, N84 W17501 Menomonee Ave., between 12:45 and 1:45 p.m. Jan. 2.

7Two deer stands and a trail camera were reported stolen from North Hills Country Club, N73 W13430 Appleton Ave., between noon Dec. 31 and noon Jan. 3. The items were located on the east side of the golf course, bordering the woods between the golf course and the Wells Fargo property.

8Two unknown suspects attempted to gain entry into a locked storage area containing 40-pound propane tanks at Wrico Stamping Co., N50 W13471 Overview Drive, prior to 11:25 a.m. Jan. 3. Entry was not gained but the lock was found damaged. Surveillance footage shows the two hooded suspects driving a dark-colored, full-size van attempting to break the lock with what appears to be a crowbar. An investigation is ongoing.

9The driver of a tan Chevrolet Cavalier left without paying for $35 of gas at Wittlin's, N92 W17387 Appleton Ave., at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 5.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

10A 37-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for felony drunken driving, fourth offense in five years, on Pilgrim Road and Deerfield Trail at 11:05 p.m. Dec. 29. He was also cited for an ignition interlock device violation and operating after revocation (OWI-related). His blood alcohol content was 0.18.

ACCIDENTS

11A 22-year-old Appleton man was transported to the hospital with possible injuries after his vehicle struck a median barrier while driving northbound on U.S. Highway 41 near the Main Street exit at 5:42 a.m. Dec. 29. The victim swerved to avoid colliding with a vehicle that entered his lane; the driver of the offending vehicle left the scene.

12A 26-year-old Lannon woman was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after her car left roadway, struck a culvert, drove across a lawn and struck a residence in the W72 N17700 block of Good Hope Road at 6:40 a.m. Dec. 29. The woman was slowing for traffic when she lost control of her vehicle. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

VANDALISM

13An unknown suspect(s) wrote profanities in red, blue and green marker on a John Deere front-end loader parked in the overflow lot at Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., between 8 a.m. Dec. 31 and 1 p.m. Jan. 1.

OTHER

14A 28-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was cited for disorderly conduct/telephone harassment after making approximately 25 phone calls to a resident in the N85 W14100 block of Fond du Lac Avenue between 4:30 a.m. and 9:25 p.m. Dec. 29.

15A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct/prowling at a business in the N88 W13900 block of Main Street at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 30. The suspect was pulled over for a traffic violation in Wauwatosa when police found scrap metal he had taken, without permission, from a business in Menomonee Falls. The scrap metal was returned to the property and the suspect was cited and released.

16The 39-year-old owner of Liquor Lodge, N85 W16035 Appleton Ave., was cited for a liquor sale violation after a plain-clothed police officer purchased a one-liter bottle of whiskey from the business at 9:42 p.m. Dec. 31.

17A 36-year-old employee of Paul's Mobil, N56 W13920 Silver Spring Drive, was cited for a liquor sale violation after a plain-clothed police officer purchased a one-liter bottle of whiskey from the business at 10:19 p.m. Dec. 31. The owner of the business also received a citation for the violation.

18A 35-year-old Sussex man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop for expired registration on Main Street and Shady Lane at 3:05 p.m. Jan. 4. He was also cited for operating with suspended registration, operating without insurance and operating after revocation.
