Police Report: May 14

THEFT

1An unknown amount of precious coins and other miscellaneous items were taken from a residence in the W160 N9000 block of Madison Avenue between noon Dec. 27 and noon May 1. Police are seeking the victim's grandson, a 31-year-old Menomonee Falls man, for questioning in the theft.

2An 18-karat gold ring with a blue topaz stone and diamonds was reported missing/stolen from a residence in the N91 W16600 block of Pershing Avenue at 6 p.m. May 2. The victim told police the ring was in a case on a table in her home around 10 p.m. April 30 and realized it was missing from its case on May 6. No forced entry was observed at the residence.

3A Toshiba laptop computer, valued at $1,300, was reported stolen from a residence in the W148 N8800 block of Jefferson Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. May 6. The victim identified a possible suspect and police are following up.

4The driver of a white, four-door 2000 Volkswagen Passat left without paying for $53 of gas at Menomonee Falls Gas and Liquor, N86 W16317 Appleton Ave., at 6:50 p.m. May 6. Police are seeking the suspect, a 25-year-old Menomonee Falls, in the theft.

OTHER

5A 60-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drugged driving after he crashed into a marked police car that was performing a traffic stop on Appleton Avenue and Homestead Drive at 1:05 p.m. May 8. The suspect was unresponsive and transported to Community Memorial Hospital for evaluation, where he admitted being under the influence of prescription drugs. A legal blood draw was taken, the results of which were unavailable.

6A 51-year-old Menomonee Falls man was issued a citation for animal at large after police received a call from a resident who reported a neighbor's peacock was on her property in the N56 W18900 block of Silver Spring Drive at 9:30 a.m. May 10. An officer attempted to capture the animal but was unsuccessful. The owner of the peacock was cited due to multiple calls/infractions in the past.

Menomonee Falls police assisted with two rescue calls between May 2 and May 10.
