Former Falls runner sponsors run/walk for cancer research
The fifth annual "Nancy's Run, Rock and Stroll" to benefit the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance will be held this Saturday at Greenfield Park.
A certified 5,000-meter run will start at 10 a.m. with a 2-mile walk starting at 10:15 a.m. and a Rascal Romp for children 8 and younger beginning at 11 a.m.
There is free parking at the Cool Waters Pavilion at Greenfield Park, 2028 S. 124th St., West Allis.
The cost is $20 and all proceeds benefit the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance (there is a $5 suggested donation for the Rascal Romp). The race was started by former Menomonee Falls All-State distance runner Valerie Niese Nolin in honor and memory of her mother, Nancy Niese.
