Germantown's Gottschlich earns WIAC honors
Germantown graduate B.J. Gottschlich, a junior soccer player at UW-Platteville, was recently named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week. Gottschlich, a native of Colgate, scored three goals and had one assist in two matches, including a two-goal effort in a 6-0 win over Waldorf (Iowa) College.
Woosencraft places at Wisconsin Senior Olympics
Former Menomonee Falls High School Principal Richard Woosencraft took second in both the shot put and discus in his age bracket at the Wisconsin Senior Olympics held recently at Milwaukee Pulaski High School.
Woosencraft lost to the same person in each event, Jerry Amundsen of Verona. Woosencraft had a toss of 37-9 in the shot and 126-8 in the discus. He lost the discus by just 18 inches.
