Falls girls softball team announces season awards

The Menomonee Falls girls softball team, which finished second in the Greater Metro Conference this season, had Hailey Mohrfeld, Hailey Wilson, Jenna Botticelli and Jamie Ayudan earn first-team All-GMC honors while second team honorees included Rachel Defnet and Nicole Zywiec. Honorable mention choices were Nicole Weggen and Jamie Ertl

Mohrfeld was the GMC Player of the Year.

Both Wilson and Mohrfeld earned All-Southeast District first team honors while Botticelli and Ayudan earned honorable mention. Mohrfeld was named second-team all-state for her fine season.

The team voted Mohrfeld as the defensive MVP and overall team MVP while Wilson was the offensive MVP. The most improved award went to Melissa Dobratz.

Menomonee Falls alumni volleyball game set

The Menomonee Falls Alumni Volleyball game is set for 6:30 Thursday in the high school gym. All former players are invited to come and play. There will be T-shirts for sale and a pizza social to follow.
