Shovel Snow from Fire Hydrants

Feb. 2, 2011

The Menomonee Falls Fire Department is requesting homeowners and business owners to help clear snow from around fire hydrants (public and private). Please clear snow from the front of the large cap on the hydrant and 2-3 feet around the hydrant. Fire hydrants supply vital water necessary to control a fire.

If you are a senior citizen and cannot clear snow on your own, please contact the Fire Department at 262-532-8823 or the Water Department at 262-532-4807 and provide the exact address of the fire hydrant. We will dispatch a crew to uncover the hydrant.

Thank you for your assistance.

Jeffrey S. Hevey

Fire Chief
