A vocal ensemble, LYRA, from St. Petersburg, Russia will be a part of the Ascension Day worship service, Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, W180 N7863 Town Hall Road, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. The service will begin at 7:00 pm. Church phone number: 262-251-7720
Come enjoy with us this group from St. Petersburg Music Conservatory as they sing a cappella with power and precision that will entertain and inspire the listener.
All singers are professional musicians and some of them are soloists at musical theatres of the city as well. Through their performances, they want to introduce the musical heritage of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as traditions of Russian folk music to all people taking interest in Russia, its history and its culture.
