Relay For Life of Sussex-Menomonee Falls-Pewaukee - This Friday, June 19
The 14th Annual American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Sussex-Menomonee Falls-Pewaukee is an 14 hour celebration of life in honor and in memory of those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Join us for entertainment, justice, food, prizes, fun and a night of camping under the stars on Friday, June 19th at 6:00pm with Opening Ceremonies and Survivor Lap at approx 630pm at Menomonee Falls High School.
This is a FREE community, family fun event! With special performances by the UW-Madison, Marching Band, Zoja Dance group, Accompany of Kids, Milwaukee Brewer's Racing Sausages and more! It’s not about running or racing, it’s about a community coming together to CELEBRATE, REMEMBER AND FIGHT BACK against cancer.
The highlight of the event is the beautiful Luminaria Ceremony held to honor survivors and to remember those who have lost their battle against cancer, with. These luminaries are left burning throughout the night to remind participants of the incredible importance of their contribution. Honorary chair Chuck Ward will share experiences with cancer and the need to eliminate this disease at 10:00pm on Friday, June 19th.
So, whether you’re a survivor, caregiver or just someone that wants to make a difference, get some exercise, have fun or join your community friends, we invite you to join us for any part of Relay that interests you. You don’t have to be pre-registered on a team to enjoy Relay.
