Menomonee Falls Historical Society Presents 12th Annual Civil War Re-Enactment

Go back in time to the Civil War period and see what life was like for the troops and civilians in the 1860's. Learn about battle tactics and watch a battle re-enactment; hear the firing of the cannon and the artillery.

Listen to period music by the Regimental Band of WI or the 5th WI Volunteer Field Music. Stroll the grounds and meet "Mr. & Mrs. Abe Lincoln." Watch a fashion show, or spend a quiet moment and have a cup of tea, Go shopping in the sutler's (storekeeper) tent. Join in or watch some dances of that era and enjoy some old fashioned Kettle Korn.

The Menomonee Falls Historical Society is having their 12th annual Civil War Re-enactment on Sat, July 18th from 10am-5pm and on Sun, July 19 from 10am-4pm at Old Falls Village Museum on the corner of County Line Rd (Hwy Q) and Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls.

Our speaker on Sat is "Mary Todd Lincoln" talking about her life with Mr. President, and on Sun Fred Murphy will speak on "The Sultana: A Forgotten Civil War Tragedy."

Old Falls Village is a 17-acre living history park and the buildings will be open for viewing. Admission is $5, children 6-14 for $3, and under 6 free.
