November Movies Focus on WWII
The Menomonee Falls Public Library will be showing two popular films dealing with World War II for its November Thursday Monthly Movie on November 19. Both movies will be presented in the library’s Meeting Room off the main lobby. Admission is free to all ages, based on the movie’s rating. The times, synopsis, and ratings are as follows:
2:15 PM : MEMPHIS BELLE 1990 Starring Matthew Modine, Eric Stoltz, Billy Zane, Harry Connick, Jr. Join the young crew aboard the Memphis Belle, a WWII bomber, as they head out on their last raid before furlough home…a raid over heavily defended Dresden. Rated PG-13
6:30 (NOTE EARLIER START TIME): FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS 2006 Starring Ryan Phillippe, Jesse Bradford; directed by Clint Eastwood Story about the three surviving Marines who raised the flag at Iwo Jima as the iconic picture of that event brings hope to our nation even as it affects each of them in different ways. Rated R (no one under 17 admitted without a parent)
