Falls Angels U12 softball – MMFL weekly results

The Falls Angels girls U12 softball team split a doubleheader against the Greenfield Ignitors on June 28th in Milwaukee Metro Fastpitch League action at Oakwood Park in Menomonee Falls.

In the first game, the Angels lost a close one to the Ignitors by a score of 4-3.

Kelly Berglund delivered a complete game, 4 strikeout pitching performance while Ashley Zdroik and Marissa Igunbor led the hitting with 2 hits apiece.

The Angels extinguished the Ignitor’s hopes for a sweep with a strong 12-7 win in the second game. Leah Badke led the offensive attack by going 2 for 3 with 5 RBIs and also pitched in by striking out 4 Ignitor batters in 6 innings. Ashley Zdroik contributed 3 hits and Ashley Hall went 2 for 2.

The Angels are currently 5-2 in league play and in 2nd place in the MMFL U12 Blue Division.

The U12 Angels host the Wisconsin Twisters on Monday July 5th at Oakwood Park. The U14 Angels team also hosts a doubleheader the same night at Oakwood Park against the New Berlin Magic. The games begin at 6:30 pm. Come on out to watch some exciting fastpitch softball action.

The Falls Angels is a select softball program for girls 8 to 17 years old in the Menomonee Falls area.

We are actively looking for coaches and girls ages 8 to 10 years old to fill our U10 roster for next year.
