MENOMONEE FALLS – A committee of 1962 graduates from Menomonee Falls
High School has launched an effort to locate fellow classmates and former teachers as part of preliminary plans for a 50th reunion in 2012.
Bob Dahms, who served as 1962 class president, invited several classmates to participate in a planning committee and has established a dedicated website at www.mfhsclassof62.com to serve as an interactive communications hub for reunion activities.
The committee has already located more than 100 of the 240 members of its class plus
a number of teachers and school administrators from 1962. “Our goal,” Dahms said, “is to find as many of our fellow classmates as possible and have them register on the dedicated website.”
The site allows those who register to reconnect with classmates in a secure, password
protected environment. Those who sign in will receive advance notice of all reunion activities, be eligible for early registration discounts and have the opportunity to participate in reunion-related surveys to help establish events, dates, locations and costs.
Classmates without internet access should contact Roger Muencheberg at (262) 629-5251 or Kathy Ennis Mooney at (717) 227-1636 to obtain additional information and assistance in registering by mail.
Ideas about the type of reunion are being collected, and all classmates are being urged to submit any thoughts about types of event to Muencheberg or Mooney by July 31 of this year. “Details have yet to be worked out,” Dahms said, “but the reunion most likely will center around a casual, relaxed gathering in Southeast Wisconsin.”
Classmates seeking additional information about reunion planning or those who can help locate missing graduates or teachers from 1962 should contact Muencheberg or Mooney by phone or Dahms by email at bdahms@mac.com or by phone at (520) 270-2680.
