Marcy Celebrates Veteran’s Day with Assembly

Marcy Elementary School students will celebrate Veteran’s Day Nov. 11 with an assembly that includes the presentation of colors by a Boy Scout troop, guest speakers, patriotic songs and a slideshow of honored veterans who are connected to Marcy students and staff members .

Bob and Renee Cornell, whose son served in the military, will speak about respect for our service men and women and the freedom they fight for. Principal Michelle Trawicki’s father-in-law, Dick Trawicki, will be among the honored veterans. In addition, the fifth-graders’ project, “What Does Freedom Mean to Me?,” will be on display in the school entryway.

The assembly will begin at 1:10 p.m. in the gymnasium. Marcy is located at W180 N4851 Marcy Rd., Menomonee Falls.
